Car dealerships are encountering a new type of customer—someone whose job is to make sure they earn less on each sale. Thirty-three-year-old Tomi Mikula, who spent over a decade in sales and financing at various dealerships, has turned that experience into a business called Delivrd. For a $1,000 fee, Mikula negotiates with dealers on behalf of buyers who either don’t want to or don’t know how to bargain effectively. From his home office near Charlotte, North Carolina, he handles calls strategically, taking advantage of the fact that shoppers who spend hours at a showroom often feel too invested to walk away.

Mikula’s method focuses entirely on numbers. He gathers multiple quotes for the same vehicle from different dealerships and uses market data to strengthen his position. According to reporting by Imani Moise, Mikula has expanded his operation into a business employing five professional negotiators who together earn roughly $200,000 per month. He also generates extra income by livestreaming some of his negotiation calls on social media.

The impact of Mikula’s work can be seen in real-world results. One buyer studied his videos, learned key negotiation tactics, and arrived at a dealership prepared with information about the car’s availability elsewhere. That buyer successfully purchased a 2026 Mazda CX-50 Premium for $4,000 under the sticker price. Moise notes that Mikula is even considering using a voice changer during calls to further protect his negotiating edge.
