Democratic strategist James Carville launched into a heated tirade about President Trump during an episode of his podcast Politicon on Saturday.
During the segment, Carville angrily addressed the president directly, shouting insults and declaring that he strongly dislikes Trump. He claimed that many Americans share his feelings and said he openly embraces what critics often call “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” saying he has no desire to change his views.
Carville continued his rant by saying he hopes his dislike for the president only grows stronger, telling listeners that he wants to hate Trump “so much that we can’t see straight.”
The 81-year-old political consultant—often nicknamed the “Ragin’ Cajun” for his fiery style—has become known in recent years for his blunt and often explosive commentary about President Trump.
Carville has also previously made controversial claims about Trump’s health. Last year, he suggested that Trump’s tough stance toward Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky might be linked to a medical condition.
The remark followed photos taken in 2024 that appeared to show red marks on Trump’s hands. On his podcast, Carville said the marks “look like syphilis” and claimed that several doctors he spoke with—none of whom had examined Trump—speculated it could be “secondary syphilis.”
Carville used the speculation to question Trump’s behavior, bringing up the marks again on his podcast and suggesting they could be connected to what he described as the president’s “madness.”
