The teenage son of disgraced mayor in Louisiana was overheard screaming that his mom “effed” his “best friend,” after the drunken pool party where she allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old boy, according to reports.
Jill Weaver, the best friend and former sister-in-law of ex-DeRidder Mayor Misty Roberts, told jurors she overheard the tense exchange between Roberts and her son after she was asked to come to the boozy party around 8 p.m. July 20, 2024, according to the Lake Charles American Press.
“He was saying [Roberts] effed his best friend,” Weaver recalled at the Beauregard Parish County trial of the fight between the mom and her son, the outlet said.
Roberts faces two charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The former mayor’s bestie left the party around 11 p.m. and was asked to return by her own son around 2 a.m. after Roberts accused him of taking a video of her allegedly sexually assaulting a drunk teen at the party.
