Capitol Police, Senator Sheehy Charge and Tackle Belligerent Anti-War Marine Veteran at Senate Armed Services Committee Meeting (VIDEO)
Capitol Police officers and Senator Tim Sheehy subdued a disruptive anti-war Marine veteran who interrupted a Senate Armed Services Committee meeting on Wednesday.
Video obtained by The Gateway Pundit’s Alicia Powe shows the moment officers tackled the veteran, identified as Brian McGinnis, after he repeatedly shouted during the hearing.
“This is Israel’s war!” McGinnis yelled during the interruption. “No one wants to fight for Israel!”
McGinnis, a Marine veteran, is currently running for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina as a Green Party candidate. During the disturbance, Republican Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana, wearing a blue suit, moved toward McGinnis and assisted Capitol Police officers as they removed him from the committee meeting.
Sheehy is a former Navy SEAL.
As officers escorted him out, McGinnis repeatedly shouted that his arm had been broken during the confrontation. Authorities later charged him with assault, obstruction, and resisting arrest.
According to reporting by Gateway Pundit contributor Alicia Powe, McGinnis’s campaign manager said he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a broken arm.
Video later showed McGinnis seated in a chair while continuing to complain about his injury.
“Israel is causing all of this! Nobody’s thinking that! Our government is compromised!” McGinnis said as officers escorted him away.
