Pedophile Hunter Logs On To Popular Videogame And Finds Potential Predator In Minutes

An online safety advocate demonstrated how quickly predators can target children on a popular online game during Monday’s episode of “The Shawn Ryan Show.”

Activists working against online child exploitation have gained popularity in recent years, attracting large online followings and even starring in reality shows such as Investigation Discovery’s “Undercover Underage.” Schlep, an online activist whose Twitter bio says he’s contributed to six arrests and two convictions for online exploitation in the game “Roblox,” demonstrated to host Shawn Ryan how fast a predator could find a potential victim. Roblox, an online gaming platform, has at least 144 million users who either play or create games, according to its official website. The company is facing lawsuits from Texas and Louisiana alleging it fails to protect children from exploitation.

In one clip posted to “The Shawn Ryan Show” X account, a user named “aviationlover403” messaged the online decoy, “U frky [You freaky]?” almost immediately after connecting.

“Oh, you freaky, do you see that?” Schlep asked Ryan as they navigated a Roblox game that they compared to the dating app “Tinder.” Ryan responded, “Are you fucking serious, dude? Are you fucking serious?”

“Just say yes and see what he wants to do,” Schlep instructed the decoy. Another interaction, this time with a user called “Aimbot_errer3,” showed the same question appearing almost instantly.

“Holy shit!” Ryan exclaimed as the chat displayed the user asking the decoy if he had TikTok. “Are you fucking kidding me, dude?” Additional clips posted by Ryan showed other decoy interactions where users asked if the decoy was “freaky” within seconds of connecting.

At the start of the interview, Schlep recounted how he had been exploited online while playing Roblox at age 12, which led to a suicide attempt at 15. He told Ryan that his abuser not only discussed a relationship with a 15-year-old girl but also made Schlep watch a video of the Christchurch, New Zealand, mass shooting, insisting he activate screenshare to prove he was watching. Another clip from the interview showed Schlep walking Ryan through a re-enactment of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting.

“Holy shit, this is Sandy Hook Elementary School,” Ryan said as the decoy navigated the game, adding, “You said nine-year-olds [can play this game]? But I thought we just signed something saying we’re 13.”

In response, Roblox stated via their newsroom account on X, “This experience was uploaded on February 5 and removed on February 6 within five minutes of the initial report of inappropriate content. Our data shows that the few users who accessed the experience did not find it through organic discovery. We reported all parties involved in the creation and coordination of this experience to law enforcement.”

Roblox CEO and founder David Baszucki also responded on X to clips from the interview.

“We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for re-enacting any real-world tragic event on Roblox. This includes acts of terror and school shootings,” Baszucki said. “Such experiences directly violate our community standards and we strive to block them before they are even published. That said, a handful of bad actors do try to create these experiences to share with their friends and on social media. Although we are not perfect, we work hard to moderate and remove them as quickly as possible.”

Roblox did not respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
