Members of the House Oversight Committee spoke to reporters Friday ahead of former President Bill Clinton’s testimony, criticizing Hillary Clinton’s conduct during her recent deposition.
Committee Chairman James Comer said Hillary Clinton frequently deferred to her husband when questioned about matters related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
“When asked questions related to Epstein and Maxwell, Hillary Clinton deferred to her husband nearly a dozen times,” Comer said.
He added that former President Bill Clinton was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions under oath.
Rep. Nancy Mace also commented on Hillary Clinton’s testimony, alleging that she was combative during questioning about Epstein. Mace said the transcript would reflect what she described as emotional exchanges.

“The public will see how she responded,” Mace told reporters, adding that she hoped President Clinton’s testimony would proceed more calmly.
The transcript and video of Hillary Clinton’s deposition are expected to be released Friday.
Tensions escalated Thursday after a photograph of Hillary Clinton taken during her testimony circulated online. The image was shared by conservative podcast host Benny Johnson and was reportedly provided by Rep. Lauren Boebert.
According to reports from MSNOW, Clinton briefly left the room following the leak of the photo. After returning, she engaged in a tense exchange with Chairman Comer.
