SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A birthday party at a Chuck E. Cheese turned chaotic Sunday when a fight broke out, leaving one person in an induced coma and forcing families to run for safety. Police body camera footage captured the dramatic response.

Witnesses told WTVG that the altercation between Keshawn Fell and Derrick Jones began in a bathroom before spilling into the children’s play area. A 22-year-old victim suffered serious injuries, including a broken eye socket.

“Because it was my baby’s birthday. I was throwing this for her. Now my baby is traumatized,” said the victim’s sister. Their aunt rushed in to protect children during the chaos.

“All I could do is grab everybody’s kids and try to get them up against the wall and try to get them away from it. They were running through the whole entire building. And all I could do was think to protect the kids,” the aunt said, according to WTVG. The sister added that her brother collapsed during the fight.

“My brother collapsed and I grabbed my brother like, ‘Brother, please talk to me. Talk to me. I’m here,’” she said, per WTVG.

Jones was charged with felonious assault, while Fell faces a disorderly conduct charge at a hospital emergency room after the victim was transported. Both men have pled not guilty and were released on bond.

The victim’s family believes a weapon may have caused the broken eye socket, though police have not confirmed the cause of the injuries.

“Like you knew when you went in the bathroom to fight, you knew that this was a kid’s establishment. You knew that. You knew it,” a family member told WTVG.
