Crazed trans shooter Robert Dorgan was a Nazi-lover who spewed hate in disturbing posts
The Rhode Island high school hockey shooting that left two family members dead and three others injured was carried out by a man with a history of posting antisemitic and racist content online, according to disturbing social media records.
Robert Dorgan, who identified as Roberta Esposito, shared thousands of alarming posts on his X account before Monday’s attack at the Pawtucket ice rink, where he ultimately turned a gun on himself.

The 56-year-old frequently posted extreme content, railing against anti-trans prejudice while also promoting pro-Nazi and white supremacist views. The day before the attack, Dorgan replied to a video praising Adolf Hitler with a racial slur targeting Asians. Other posts referenced “white power” and “white pride world wide,” and he also retweeted videos showing people performing the Nazi salute.
On the night before the shooting, Dorgan posted a chilling warning to other X users, writing, “Keep bashing us. But do not wonder why we Go BERSERK,” in response to someone criticizing trans Democratic Rep. Sarah McBride.

Officials said Dorgan, who underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2020, fatally shot his son and the boy’s mother while they were in the stands of the ice rink. Three others—two relatives and a family friend—were injured and remain in critical condition. Police have not released the victims’ names.
Investigators are still exploring a motive, though the shooting followed years of contentious legal disputes over Dorgan’s gender identity. Court filings show his ex-wife, Rhonda Dorgan, filed for divorce in 2020 citing “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits,” with the divorce finalized in 2021.
A woman identifying herself as the gunman’s daughter said outside the Pawtucket police station that he “has mental health issues” and was “very sick,” adding, “He shot my family and he’s dead now.”
