(VIDEO) Rapper Cardi B Eats It During Concert, Blames the Government

Cardi B took a tumble during her concert in Las Vegas on Friday night, falling backward off a chair while performing on stage at the T-Mobile Arena.

The incident happened as she leaned back in the chair mid-performance, tipping too far and landing on the floor before finishing her song. Background dancers quickly rushed over and incorporated the moment into the choreography, continuing the routine around her.

After completing the song, Cardi B stood up smiling and told the crowd, “That was the government. That was the government!” She then danced to another part of the stage. Later, she reposted a clip of the fall on social media, jokingly asking, “Can someone put a community note on this? This video is clearly AI.”

However, community notes attached to the video state that the fall was real. One note claims concert attendees, media outlets, and audience-shot footage confirm the incident occurred and was not generated by artificial intelligence.

Her comment about “the government” appeared to be made in jest, though it comes shortly after remarks she made earlier in the week about Immigration and Customs Enforcement. During a tour stop in California, she referenced Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), telling the audience, “If ICE comes in here, we’re gonna jump they asses. I’ve got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t taking my fans.”

Those comments drew a response from officials in the administration of Donald Trump. As reported by The Gateway Pundit, the remarks prompted criticism from the Department of Homeland Security. In a statement, the agency referenced Cardi B’s past admission that she had drugged and robbed men during her time working as a stripper, saying, “As long as she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.”
