Trans client skips out on insanely high bill at luxe hair salon — as owner launches hunt for culprit
A Huntington Beach salon owner is asking the public for help after a client allegedly left without paying for an extensive $2,500 hair extension service.
Tiffany Loe, owner of Christian Michael Salon in Orange County, shared a TikTok video seeking assistance in identifying a woman who booked an appointment under the name “Sophia Gonzalez.” According to Loe, the client underwent a nine-hour appointment to receive 24-inch blonde hair extensions. A photo taken after the service showed the client smiling and posing with the finished look.

In the video posted to her 342,000 followers, Loe asked viewers for help identifying the individual. She explained that when it came time to take additional photos, the client told the stylist she needed to step outside briefly to put on eyelashes and never returned.
“The amount of work that went into this transformation was incredible,” Loe said, adding that the stylist who performed the service was deeply upset by the situation.

Christian Michael Salon specializes in hair extensions, with new client extension installations starting at $1,000.
Loe said the salon has filed a police report and hopes the incident will be investigated as grand theft, which in California applies to property or services valued at more than $950. She noted that, depending on prior history, such a charge can be treated as a felony.
Loe was not immediately available for further comment.
