Trump trolls world leaders again by re-sharing pic of map showing Canada, Greenland, Venezuela all part of US
President Trump has once again stirred international attention by posting an AI‑generated image on Truth Social that depicts Canada, Greenland and Venezuela as if they were part of the United States.
The graphic, shared late Monday, shows the president alongside several European leaders — including French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen — looking at a map in the Oval Office that has been digitally altered to place U.S. flags over the three countries.
In a separate AI‑style image, President Trump is shown with Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio “planting” an American flag in Greenland with a sign reading “U.S. Territory Est. 2026.”

The posts come amid Trump’s ongoing push for the United States to take control of Greenland, a self‑governing territory of Denmark that he describes as vital to U.S. and global security — especially in the face of what he characterizes as threats from Russia and China.
That push has strained relations with allies. The governments of Denmark and Greenland have firmly rejected the idea of joining the United States, and leaders in Europe have voiced support for Greenland’s independence.
The inclusion of Canada and Venezuela on the altered map also drew reactions from both countries. Venezuela’s government publicly rejected the depiction, stating that the map misrepresents Venezuelan sovereignty and asserting that the country “is and will be the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”

Trump has previously suggested that Canada could become the 51st U.S. state, a proposal that Canadian leaders have dismissed, and his social‑media posts have become part of a larger diplomatic exchange over territory, trade and national sovereignty between the United States and its neighbors.
