Former Ohio Governor John Kasich was among those offering praise for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday. It’s doubtful Kasich was familiar with the artist before a staffer likely filled him in.
Love the halftime show which celebrates the wonderful Latino culture. Great pick and great show. Bad Bunny hit a grand slam home run!

If Kasich truly intended to “celebrate the wonderful Latino culture,” he may not have been aware of the lyrics Bad Bunny was performing.
Some of those lyrics, which are definitely not safe for work, would likely have drawn FCC scrutiny had they been delivered in English. That contrast has fueled criticism from some viewers who felt the performance crossed lines that would not have been tolerated otherwise.
Critics also argue that much of the public praise for the show may be more about going along with the moment than genuine admiration — a sentiment they believe applies to Kasich as well.

The last, and funniest, stage of Trump Derangement Syndrome: being forced to pretend you like Bad Bunny as a 73 year old white guy. https://t.co/W1LYhHy9y8
