Ukrainian model recalls allegedly being drugged, raped by real estate titan at Hamptons house

A Ukrainian model testified in Manhattan federal court this week that she was “paralyzed” after being given a drugged drink, allegedly before being raped by high-profile real estate figure Oren Alexander at a lavish Hamptons party.

“I had no control over my body… it was like my whole body was tranquilized,” the alleged victim, who testified under the alias Bela Koval, told jurors.

Koval, a Ukraine native and Chicago resident, began testifying Monday against Oren Alexander, 38, his twin brother Alon, and their older brother Tal, 39. The three are accused of running a decade-long sex trafficking scheme. Wearing a black suit, Koval recounted how Oren allegedly gave her a drink in a red plastic cup while she sat on a beanbag at a $13 million Sag Harbor mansion during Labor Day Weekend 2016.

After a few sips, Koval said she felt “very strange” and noticed she was “losing control of my limbs.” She tried to make her way to her basement bedroom, but Alon Alexander allegedly intercepted her and led her to a separate bedroom on the first floor.

Koval testified that she fell asleep and woke hours later to find Oren Alexander entering the room. She said she tried to tell him something was wrong, but he allegedly ignored her, undressed her, and assaulted her. She described feeling “completely awake and aware” mentally, yet “like my whole body was tranquilized.”

“At this point I realized something is about to happen to me,” she told the court. “I was unable to move. I was paralyzed.” She said Oren “put all of his weight on top of me and raped me,” despite her attempts to push him off. “He had no expression other than this brooding anger… it was just this dark energy,” she said.

During testimony, Oren Alexander, dressed in a dark suit and white shirt, at times slumped his shoulders, but at other points glared at Koval during a cross-examination by defense lawyer Teny Geragos. Geragos challenged Koval over inconsistencies in her recollection, including details about her clothing and whether she drank alcohol that night. Koval said most of her drinks were “mocktails” and acknowledged she may have taken a few sips of alcohol.

“My focus is on being drugged and raped,” she said. “That’s what my mind has focused on.”

Prosecutors displayed images of the mansion, which includes a pool, hot tub, and basketball court. Koval testified she was invited by Alon Alexander, whom she said she had matched with on the dating app Raya.

A Nevada nurse, testifying last week under the alias Maya Miller, also alleged she was raped by Tal Alexander in the mansion’s shower. “What he did to me, it was pure control,” she said tearfully. Prosecutors also released a photo of Hollywood actor Zac Efron posing with Tal Alexander at a 2012 party. Another accuser, Katie Moore, said she met Alon and Tal at Efron’s NBA Finals watch party and was allegedly raped by Alon that night.

Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander have pleaded not guilty to charges that carry sentences ranging from a minimum of 15 years to life in prison.
