‘Punjabi Devils’ biker boss tried to flee California for India after arrest for dealing guns
The leader of the Punjabi Devils biker gang attempted to flee California for India after being arrested for illegally dealing firearms, the FBI revealed Monday, as he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Jashanpreet Singh, 27, whose gang has known ties to the Hells Angels, was caught in June 2025 trying to sell illegal weapons to an undercover officer, including assault rifles, three machine gun converters, and other firearms, the FBI in Sacramento said. He skipped a scheduled court appearance a month later on state charges in San Joaquin County.

On July 23, US Customs and Border Protection agents intercepted Singh at San Francisco International Airport as he tried to leave the country, officials said. Authorities also discovered firearms and a fused “pineapple” hand grenade at his home, which had to be safely detonated by the FBI.
Singh faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for illegally dealing firearms, and up to 10 years and a $250,000 fine for possessing a machine gun. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11, 2026, and remains in federal custody.
