14-year-old stabs panhandler who begged him for cash
A 14-year-old boy allegedly stabbed an older man who asked him for money on a Harlem subway platform during the Monday morning rush, police and law enforcement sources said.
The 65-year-old victim approached the teen on the No. 2 train platform at 125th Street around 8:40 a.m., asking for cash, according to sources.
Instead of giving money, the boy reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the stomach. The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.

Authorities arrested the teen at the scene and recovered the knife. He faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident occurred less than an hour after a 39-year-old woman was slashed in the face on a Bronx bus.
The woman reportedly argued with another passenger, who then attacked her with a knife on a Bx4 bus near Westchester and Rosedale avenues in Parkchester around 7:50 a.m. The suspect, last seen wearing all black, fled on foot.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is in stable condition.
