Nicki Minaj responded forcefully on social media after being referenced during Sunday’s Grammy Awards broadcast, criticizing several entertainers and Democratic politicians while defending her political views and support for President Donald Trump.

In a post on X following the ceremony, Minaj addressed Christians directly, arguing that supporting Democratic candidates conflicts with their values. She wrote that recent events have shown what she believes to be a lack of respect for places of worship and accused political opponents of crossing moral lines.

During the Grammy telecast at Crypto.com Arena, host Trevor Noah made a brief joke about Minaj from the stage, saying she was “still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.” The remark referenced Minaj’s recent public appearances connected to President Trump and his initiatives.

Actor and performer Billy Porter also criticized Minaj during a red carpet interview, using explicit language to express his disapproval.

The comments at the Grammys came shortly after Minaj attended an event tied to the launch of President Trump’s “Trump Accounts” program the previous week. In recent months, Minaj has been outspoken about her support for President Trump and has described herself as one of his strongest supporters.

Minaj did not ignore the remarks. She responded online to Noah and others, defending herself and her political stance. She also posted messages with religious themes, including a statement that “God will not be mocked,” and criticized several figures in the entertainment industry whom she believes have unfairly targeted her.

The exchange highlights ongoing political tensions within the entertainment world, as artists and public figures increasingly speak out on national political issues and sometimes clash publicly over their beliefs.
