WATCH: Texas Lawmaker Exposes Democrat Lies, Shares Video From Inside Detention Center Housing 5-Year-Old Boy Abandoned by Illegal Alien Parents

Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales released video footage from the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas to counter what he says are misleading claims about conditions in the facility that is holding children, including a 5‑year‑old boy taken into federal custody in Minnesota this week.

The short clip shows children participating in everyday activities — using computers, reading, and playing in a recreational area at the family facility near San Antonio. Gonzales posted the video on social media and said it shows the protocols and care provided by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), arguing that some Democratic critics are exaggerating conditions for political reasons.

“In the coming days, you’ll see a lot of grandstanding,” Gonzales wrote on X. He said the facility offers structured activities and that ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel “are doing their jobs.”

The controversy stems from a high‑profile enforcement action in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area in which a 5‑year‑old boy, Liam Conejo Ramos, and his father were taken into federal custody. School officials and the boy’s lawyer say the family entered the United States in 2024 and were pursuing asylum when agents detained them. Some community leaders have criticized how the operation was conducted and have raised concerns about the treatment and transparency of ICE practices.

Democratic lawmakers have sought explanations and access to the Dilley facility. Senator Chris Murphy, a Democrat from Connecticut, said he was denied entry to the Texas site despite providing notice in advance and called for more transparency around conditions inside.

Federal officials, including the Department of Homeland Security, have defended ICE’s handling of the situation, saying both father and son remain together and that their primary goal was to ensure the child’s safety. At the same time, critics continue to press for broader oversight and for answers about how children are treated during immigration enforcement operations.
