Somali Claims She Was “Kidnapped” by ICE in Minnesota – Then Goes on Bizarre Rants About Eating Bananas and Rice – DHS Responds (VIDEO)

A 23-year-old Minnesota woman, Nasra Ahmed, was arrested last week following an encounter with federal immigration officers in the parking lot of an apartment complex, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

DHS said Ahmed was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting federal agents during the incident. In a statement, the agency said that assaulting law enforcement officers is a felony and will be prosecuted under federal law.

Ahmed disputes that account and says she was wrongfully detained. She claims officers verbally abused her and used excessive force during the arrest, resulting in a concussion. She was held for two days at the Sherburne County Jail before being released.

On Wednesday, Ahmed held a press conference to describe her experience. She said ICE agents approached her, asked for identification, and made derogatory remarks toward her before arresting her.

“I was taken from my neighborhood, detained for two days, and treated unfairly,” Ahmed said. She also alleged that an agent used a racial slur during the encounter.

During the press conference, Ahmed spoke about her Somali heritage and identity as an American, describing it as a blend of cultures. She emphasized that she believes the incident reflects broader issues involving how immigrants and minority communities are treated.

DHS has not commented further on Ahmed’s specific allegations beyond confirming the arrest and the reason given for it.
