Latin Kings Gang Member Arrested For Stealing Rifle From ICE Vehicle in Minneapolis
A member of the Latin Kings street gang was arrested Thursday evening in Minneapolis after allegedly stealing a rifle and ammunition from an ICE vehicle during a period of unrest, federal authorities confirmed.
The Latin Kings are one of the largest Hispanic street gangs in the world and have a documented history of violent criminal activity.
The arrest followed riots that erupted Wednesday night and continued into early Thursday morning after an ICE agent shot a Venezuelan illegal alien who was reportedly attacking the agent with a shovel. Authorities stated the agent fired in self-defense during a violent confrontation.

The violence escalated after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, urged the public during a primetime address to follow, record, and confront ICE agents—remarks critics say contributed to the chaos that followed.
Federal officials have also noted that in recent months, leadership within the Latin Kings allegedly authorized a “shoot on sight” directive targeting federal agents, particularly Border Patrol agents involved in Chicago’s “Operation Midway Blitz.”
