You literally cannot make this up.
As Minneapolis continues to struggle under the consequences of years of progressive governance, city leadership appears focused on anything but restoring order. While radical Democrats escalate rhetoric and hostility toward federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents carrying out lawful duties, the Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office has revealed what it considers a top priority this week.
An internal email sent Thursday morning to city attorneys invited staff to participate in a midday “healing circle” meant to provide a “quiet, supportive environment for connection.” The invitation also noted that “therapy goats” would be available beginning at noon.
The email, signed by City Attorney Kristyn Anderson, was first shared publicly by Townhall columnist Dustin Grage, who posted a screenshot on X. The message quickly drew criticism as another example of what detractors call the city’s slide into performative activism and misplaced priorities.

The email read in part:
“Human Resources will be facilitating a healing circle from 12:00–1:00 PM in PSB100AB for any City employees who would like to be in shared space with colleagues. This is intended as a quiet, supportive environment for connection and presence.
As a reminder, therapy goats will also be in PSB100 beginning at noon, and folks are welcome to stop by at any point.
Participation is entirely optional. There is no expectation to speak or actively participate—attendees are welcome to simply sit, listen, and be in community with one another.”
The announcement comes as Minneapolis officials and aligned activist groups continue to publicly attack ICE for conducting enforcement operations targeting criminal illegal aliens. Rather than supporting federal law enforcement efforts aimed at public safety, city leaders have opted for confrontation, including lawsuits against DHS and ICE, inflammatory rhetoric accusing agents of “occupation,” and open resistance to immigration enforcement.
Now, critics say, the response from city government includes therapy goats for municipal attorneys.
Minneapolis doesn’t need healing circles and goats. It needs leadership, accountability, and a renewed commitment to law and order.
