WATCH: Federal Agents Tackle Bald Female Protestor After She Throws Water Bottle at ICE Agents

A protest outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis turned chaotic Monday when a demonstrator threw a water bottle at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents gathered at the site. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions following a recent ICE-involved shooting in the city.

Federal authorities had installed concrete barriers and fencing around the building ahead of the operation. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that additional federal agents would be sent to Minneapolis as demonstrations spread in response to the shooting.

Video footage captured the moment a protester threw a water bottle at ICE agents before attempting to flee. Federal officers quickly pursued and detained the individual as demonstrators shouted and surrounded the scene. Agents could be heard ordering the crowd to back away as the arrest was made.

Tensions in the area have remained high in recent days, with protesters continuing to confront federal law enforcement. On Sunday evening, conservative journalists Nick Sortor and Cam Higby were targeted by anti-ICE demonstrators while reporting near the federal facility.

According to Sortor, a crowd surrounded their vehicle, threw trash inside, and spat at them. He said he was forced to drive away to avoid further danger after repeatedly warning people to move. Sortor also stated that vehicles were later used to block their escape and that they appeared to be followed on the interstate after leaving the area.

Authorities say while some demonstrations have remained peaceful, others have involved harassment, vandalism, and confrontations with law enforcement as protests continue in Minneapolis.
