Police have arrested the ex-husband of an Ohio dentist’s wife in connection with a deadly double homicide.
Michael McKee was taken into custody Saturday in the Chicago area. Authorities obtained an arrest warrant after surveillance footage showed McKee’s vehicle near the crime scene on the night of the killings, according to court records cited by 10TV.
McKee has been charged with murder.
Dr. Spencer Tepe, 37, and his wife, Monique Tepe, 39, were found shot to death in their home early Tuesday morning after police conducted a welfare check. Investigators said Dr. Tepe was shot multiple times, while Monique Tepe suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest.

The couple’s two young children were found inside the home crying but were not physically injured.
Police were asked to perform the welfare check after Dr. Tepe failed to show up for work at Athens Dental Depot, which coworkers described as highly unusual. The dental office’s owner, Dr. Mark Valrose, told 911 dispatchers that Dr. Tepe was always punctual and would notify staff if there was a problem.
“He is always on time and he would contact us if there was any issue,” Valrose said, according to WSYX. “This is very out of character for him. We can’t get in touch with his wife, which is even more concerning.”
Previously released video from Ohio authorities appears to show McKee walking through an alley near the Tepe home around the time of the double homicide.
