(KGTV) — A viral post on social media claims that President Trump is selling fragments of the demolished East Wing of the White House on his website.
The post included what looked like a news release, saying people could purchase a “fist-sized” piece of the East Wing for $500 through TheTrumpStore.com.
However, the claim is completely false.
Fact-checkers at Snopes investigated and found no evidence that any such sales are taking place. In addition, TheTrumpStore.com does not exist.
One key detail exposing the post as fake is that it claims the Certificate of Authenticity would be signed using President Trump’s autopen—a method the President has criticized President Joe Biden for using in the past.
