Brawl breaks out at a Benihana in Torrance
TORRANCE, Calif. – A fight broke out Monday night at a Benihana restaurant in Torrance, involving a disgruntled employee and a security guard.
The altercation occurred around 8 p.m. on September 15 at the location on Hawthorne Boulevard. Witnesses reported that the confrontation quickly escalated, with fists — and even plates — being thrown.
While the exact cause of the dispute remains unclear, those at the scene said the employee appeared visibly upset prior to the incident.
No arrests have been made, but the Torrance Police Department confirmed it is actively investigating.
Despite the chaos, the restaurant resumed normal operations the following day when a FOX 11 news crew visited the location.
