BREAKING: President Trump Announces Charlie Kirk’s Killer is Now in Custody
The suspect in the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk is now in custody, according to President Donald Trump.
Trump made the announcement Friday morning during an appearance on Fox & Friends, stating, “I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody.”
He credited law enforcement and those close to the suspect for their role in the arrest. “Everyone did a great job,” Trump said, noting that the suspect’s father, with assistance from a minister connected to law enforcement, brought the individual to police headquarters.
“They drove into the police headquarters,” Trump said. “He’s there now.”
Trump also mentioned that he had learned of the arrest just five minutes before the interview.
A press conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. with FBI Director Kash Patel, who is expected to release further details, including the identity of the suspect.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.0
