Video Appears to Show Rooftop Shooter After Charlie Kirk Assassination at Utah Valley University
Alleged shooter reportedly seen ducking and running across the rooftop of the Losee Center moments before the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
A disturbing new video has surfaced that appears to show a man fleeing across a rooftop moments after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University (UVU).
According to The New York Times, UVU spokesperson Ellen Treanor confirmed that Kirk was hit by a bullet fired from the Losee Center, a building located approximately 200 yards from where he was addressing students on campus.

A user on X (formerly Twitter), Chris Hardman, shared footage that appears to capture a figure ducking down on the rooftop just moments after the shooting occurred. “Just got sent this video from UVU… it appears the shooter was on the roof. I’m told from who sent it to me that this was right before everything happened,” Hardman wrote. A second video clip shows an individual sprinting across the same rooftop shortly after the incident.
While initial reports from the university indicated that a suspect had been taken into custody, a later report from Deseret News clarified that the shooter remains at large.
There’s no way someone untrained makes this shot and hits Charlie Kirk in the neck.
The shooter could only make it by getting far enough over on the roof to clear the overhang of the building between him and Kirk.

UVU spokesperson Scott Trotter released an official statement, saying:
“On September 10, 2025, at 12:20 p.m., a single shot rang out in the quad near the food court on the Utah Valley University Orem Campus as Mr. Charlie Kirk began speaking at his planned rally. We can confirm that Mr. Kirk was shot, but we do not know his condition. The suspect is not in custody. Police are still investigating. The campus is closed for the rest of the day.”
In an interview with Steve Bannon, journalist John Solomon suggested that early evidence points to a “calculated professional hit,” though details are still developing.
