Immigration and Customs Enforcement reportedly deported one of the “worst of the worst” illegal aliens from Mexico who allegedly tried to assault an ICE officer with a vehicle in California.
The Department of Homeland Security announced on Friday, September 25, that the illegal alien, identified as Jesus Israel Garcia-Cobarruvias, was allegedly deported three times before to his home country, per the official release.
ICE was looking for him on Monday, August 31, in Martinez, California, when Garcia-Cobarruvias was stopped by officers for a traffic stop as part of the agency’s targeted operations.
However, the illegal immigrant allegedly accelerated his vehicle toward officers on duty, injured one agent and then fled the scene, per the official release.
The officer didn’t sustain any life-threatening injuries, but the release suggested the victim wasn’t able to walk without assistance due to wounds, Front Page Detectives has learned.
ICE allegedly had to use force to detain the accused
The agency reportedly nabbed Garcia-Cobarruvias on Thursday, September 17, in the same city, per Tampa Free Press.
During the arrest, the accused allegedly refused to step out of the car, leading agents to use force to remove him from the vehicle and take him into custody, Front Page Detectives learned.
“This criminal illegal alien represents the worst of the worst that the hardworking men and women of ICE are targeting and removing from our communities every single day,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in the official release.
The department also said that the immigrant had a lengthy rap sheet, including burglary, obstruction and domestic violence.

In February, another official release from the DHS stated that the department and the U.S. Customs and Border Police have been subjected to 182 vehicle attacks since President Donald Trump took office.
Comparing the numbers between January 2026 and the same month of 2025, the department recorded a 3,300% increase in vehicular attacks on officers.
According to The Guardian, Former DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin believed this rise was due to the Democrats drawing a parallel between the agency and “the Nazi Gestapo, slave patrols, and the secret police,” and that encouraging illegal aliens to evade arrest has incited violence against law enforcement.
“In addition to these vehicle attacks, our officers are also facing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats as they risk their lives to arrest murderers, pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and terrorists,” McLaughlin added, per the outlet.
