Jesse Watters’ whereabouts have been confirmed following his absence from Fox News’ The Five.
On the May 22 episode of the network’s leading conservative political talk show, the 47-year-old controversial anchor was nowhere to be seen. Instead, legal analyst Emily Compagno, Jessica Tarlov, news anchor Rosanna Scotto, attorney Paul Mauro, and former professional wrestler Tyrus were the faces who discussed the latest news and topics. A few hours after The Five aired in its usual 5pm ET time slot, Jesse’s wife, Emma Watters, took to Instagram to issue an update on her husband, who is 14 years her senior.
Emma shared a photo of herself cuddling up to Jesse, whom she married on December 30, 2019, in Naples, Florida, with her 105k Instagram followers. The mom of two looked sensational in a fitted black corseted top, which boasted leather paneling around the waist and a halter neck style on the top half. She completed her look with a black mini skirt and trendy black sunglasses. For glam, Emma flaunted her flawless complexion under a soft makeup look consisting of bronzed cheekbones and a pink, glossy lip. Her brunette tresses were styled into a big, bouncy blow-dry that flowed effortlessly around her shoulders. It comes just weeks after Watters was branded a “pig” for a disturbing comment live on air.
Why was Jesse Watters missing from The Five on May 22?
Next to her was Jesse, wearing a beige polo shirt and black pants. The Fox News star also added a pair of black shades to finish his look.
Emma captioned her loved-up post, “Bonjour avec amour,” followed by a French flag, a face blowing a kiss, and a red love heart emoji. The sentence translates to, “hello with love,” in English.
The pair appeared to have headed to Paris, France, known as the city of love, for a quick vacation. In the snap, they both beamed big smiles from a rooftop, as the city’s iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower, glistened in the sun behind them.
Many of Emma and Jesse’s followers were quick to comment on the upload, with some sharing their concerns as to why the TV host was missing from The Five episode that day.
One user penned, “Ooh la la you two look gorgeous. I was wondering why I didn’t see you on the five today lol,” with a second echoing, “So that’s where you are Enjoy Paris with your beautiful wife.”
A third fan commented, “Jesse on assignment in Paris. Have a wonderful time. We miss you,” prompting a fourth to share, “Beautiful!!! Enjoy! I will miss you on your show.”
Another fan asked, “Special assignment????” followed by three laughing face emojis, with a sixth joking, “Ahhh so beautiful!! Enjoy your ‘special assignment!'” referring to the fact Jesse teased he’s be away on an apparent ‘special assignment in the last show before he disappeared.
When is Jesse Watters back on The Five?
It’s not clear when Jesse will return to his role as anchor of The Five yet. Though the 47-year-old usually hosts the program Monday through Friday.
In June 2023, Fox News announced Jesse as the permanent host of the network’s 8 pm. EST hour following the firing of controversial fellow conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.
It comes as Fox viewers were left stunned after a guest wore a creepy item of clothing live on air.
