Residents in a Southern California neighborhood say they are at their limit over a man they claim has been causing ongoing fear and disruption, including making threats and exposing himself in view of others, including children.
People living in Reseda, a community in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, say authorities have failed to take meaningful action against the individual, whom they identify as Greg. According to neighbors, he has been living at a home on the 7700 block of Garden Grove since 2022 and has allegedly created problems for years.
Residents describe a pattern of alarming behavior, including repeated threats of violence and shouting from his window late into the night. One neighbor told FOX 11 that the man has made multiple death threats. Others say they have contacted police numerous times with little response. Jozef Peter, who lives nearby, said he has personally reached out to authorities more than 200 times.
Another resident, Susie Nelson, recalled hearing the man threaten to harm people with weapons, while Eduardo Pulido said the individual frequently yells insults at neighbors and makes disturbing remarks about their families.
When approached by a FOX 11 reporter, the man claimed he was acting with a purpose, saying he believed he was trying to save people from death. When questioned about his behavior, he dismissed concerns and ended the interaction while still unclothed.
Images and video obtained by KTLA appear to show the man sitting nude in a second-floor window. In one recent incident, neighbors said police responded but did not take action. Residents say officers cited legal limitations as the reason they could not intervene.
Many in the area fear the situation could escalate. Some believe authorities are waiting until someone is harmed before stepping in.
In response, the Los Angeles Police Department told FOX 11 that no criminal laws had been broken and described the situation as a civil matter between neighbors.
The department has not provided additional comment.
