Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida has made serious accusations regarding Congressman Eric Swalwell, suggesting the California Democrat may face criminal consequences as his growing misconduct scandal intensifies.

The controversy has escalated rapidly, with Swalwell resigning from Congress shortly after multiple allegations surfaced. The speed of his departure has fueled speculation that the situation may be more severe than initially believed.

Luna has pointed to a video reportedly circulating on social media that allegedly shows Swalwell in a hotel room with a woman she describes as a sex worker. She previously raised questions on social media about who filmed the footage, writing that Swalwell should explain the identity of the person recording the encounter.

During an appearance on Fox News with host Jesse Watters, Luna said she had received forensic analysis indicating the video is authentic. According to her, the analysis concluded that the footage is not artificially generated and does depict Swalwell.

Luna also claimed she had been told additional revelations could surface soon. She said information she received suggested the person who recorded the video may have been a female who was underage at the time, a claim that would carry serious legal implications if verified.

Watters reacted cautiously to the allegation, noting that Fox News had not independently confirmed the video or the circumstances surrounding it. He acknowledged that if Luna’s claims were accurate, the situation would represent a major development.

Swalwell’s resignation came after several women, including a former staff member, accused him of sexual misconduct and assault. One accuser alleged that he raped her twice while she was too intoxicated to give consent.

Beyond the allegations themselves, Luna argued that rumors about Swalwell’s behavior had circulated for years among people on Capitol Hill and members of the media. She suggested journalists were aware of the claims but failed to investigate or report them publicly.

Luna said she stands by her statements about the video after reviewing the forensic findings she referenced. She also suggested that prosecutors examine the matter further if the claims about the recording are confirmed.

Authorities have already begun looking into the sexual assault allegations, with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office opening an investigation.

Luna indicated that additional details could emerge soon, suggesting that further information related to the scandal may still come to light.
