Jay Leno was back in the driver’s seat, taking one of his antique cars for a spin through the streets of Los Angeles.

The 75-year-old Beverly Hills comedian and former “Tonight Show” host was spotted Wednesday cruising in a 1907 White Model G steam car, a rare 30-horsepower brass-era touring machine built by the White Motor Company.

The open-air car, painted green and black with polished brass lamps and trim, operates on a compound steam engine rather than gasoline. It features three rows of seating and a tall, upright windshield—a striking sight as it glided through city traffic.

Of the roughly 9,000 White steam cars made between 1900 and 1911, fewer than 170 are believed to survive today, according to collector registries. About half of those are in museums, leaving a very small number in private hands.

Known for his encyclopedic car collection, Leno looked relaxed and focused while piloting the early 20th-century vehicle, its brass fixtures catching the California sunlight.

Even after past mishaps—including serious burns from a 2022 garage fire and injuries from a motorcycle accident months later—Leno shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to enjoy his passion for vintage automobiles.
