A confrontation at a CorePower Yoga studio in Minneapolis has drawn attention after video of the incident circulated on social media.
The footage, posted by Heather Anderson, who says she had been a regular at the location for nearly a decade, shows a group of customers confronting two staff members in the studio lobby following a Sunday class. According to Anderson, the group was upset over reports that the studio had removed an anti-ICE sign from its front window after guidance from corporate leadership.
In the video, Anderson and others can be heard pressing staff for answers about the studio’s position, urging them to speak out rather than remain silent. At one point, Anderson asks a staff member why the studio is “being silent,” while others in the lobby voice agreement. The staff members appear uncertain how to respond.
Anderson later told the New York Post that customers had heard through studio gossip that corporate management had instructed the location to remove the sign.
Following the incident, the Denver-based yoga chain banned Anderson from the studio. The company has since indicated it plans to allow anti-ICE signage to be displayed at its locations.
The situation highlights tensions over how businesses handle politically charged issues and how frontline employees can become the focus of customer frustrations over corporate decisions.
