Newly released emails reveal that Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, once asked Jeffrey Epstein to “marry me” and made a crude comment about her daughter’s sex life.
The former Duchess of York, widely known as Fergie, praised Epstein in multiple exchanges over the years, including taking her daughters to see him shortly after his release from jail for sex offenses against a minor.
In a 2010 email, Ferguson wrote, “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.” In a 2009 email, she also shared updates on potential business opportunities with Epstein, expressing gratitude for his support: “I have never been more touched by a friends [sic] kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls… Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for.”
Her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were mentioned in several messages. In one 2010 exchange, when Epstein asked about New York, Ferguson replied, “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!” Eugenie was nearly 20 at the time.
Other emails from 2009 suggested that Epstein had lunch with Ferguson and her daughters. Epstein had been arrested in 2006 for sex with minors but received a plea deal in 2008, serving 13 months, most in a work-release program. Fergie and her daughters reportedly visited him shortly after his release in 2009.
Ferguson has not commented on the recently released emails, which are part of more than 3 million pages made public by the Department of Justice on Friday. Past emails had already revealed her close interactions with Epstein, leading to her removal from several British charities after prior communications showed her supporting him even after publicly vowing to distance herself when his offenses came to light.
