A veterinarian died Sunday after snow blocked the exhaust of a mobile clinic in Queens, police and law-enforcement sources said.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious person at 157-18 65th Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills around 9:25 a.m., police said.
The veterinarian, a 57-year-old man, was found unresponsive inside the van, along with a 73-year-old man believed to be the vehicle’s owner. Emergency medical services pronounced the veterinarian dead at the scene, while the older man was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and the office of the chief medical examiner will determine the veterinarian’s official cause of death.
