A married couple from Florida is facing multiple criminal charges in connection with an alleged fraud scheme involving vehicle titles at their own car dealership.
Michael Anthony Lucci, 32, and Emily Marie Lucci, 30, are accused of submitting false statements on bills of sale, possessing counterfeit vehicle titles and registrations, and committing perjury, forgery, racketeering, and organized fraud, according to jail records obtained by Fox News.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) arrested the couple in late January after launching an investigation into their dealership, Luxury Auto Source, located in Davie.
Authorities say the investigation began after the Luccis allegedly submitted fraudulent invoices for a 2020 Nissan GT-R, claiming thousands of dollars in repairs in order to obtain a certificate of title. FHP then reviewed other vehicles at the dealership and reportedly found eight additional high-end cars with altered titles and fraudulent repair records.
The vehicles allegedly involved included a 2017 Bentley, 2022 Porsche 911, 2018 BMW M3, and a 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. Officials claim the Dodge Charger had multiple VINs and a motor stolen from out of state.
Michael Lucci was arrested when authorities executed a search warrant at the dealership, while Emily Lucci later turned herself in. Each was released on $30,000 bond, according to jail records.
