A Florida man seeking “fast money” — though only a small amount — was arrested after allegedly firing a gun during a confrontation in Miami, police said.

Fernando de Carvalho, 28, who has numerous tattoos across his body, including his face, approached three men sitting on a street corner in Miami’s Little River neighborhood Wednesday afternoon and asked one of them for $1, according to WPLG.

When the man said he didn’t have any money and began to walk away, police say he suddenly heard a gunshot. Witnesses told officers that de Carvalho appeared to be acting erratically, pointed a firearm at the man, and threatened to shoot him.

Police responded to the area and located de Carvalho nearby. Officers also recovered a shell casing at the scene.
