Fans of soup who enjoy their comfort food in unconventional forms will soon have another chance to taste it without a spoon. Progresso announced it is bringing back its quirky Soup Drops hard candies—this time with two new flavors.
The novelty candies, which let consumers savor soup by sucking on it rather than sipping, first launched in January of last year and sold out in under an hour. Now returning is the original Chicken Noodle flavor, joined by Tomato Basil and Beef Pot Roast. According to the packaging, the candies are designed to “warm in your mouth,” USA Today reported.
The new Soup Drops will be sold exclusively through Walmart’s website as part of a bundled deal. Each bundle includes a can of Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup along with a variety pack of all three Soup Drops flavors, priced at $2.97—about the same cost as a single can of soup.
Progresso says the bundles will be restocked weekly while supplies last. Additional details, including information about the variety cans, can be found at ProgressoSoupDrops.com.
