POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A 25-year-old woman faces an aggravated battery charge after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies say she threw chicken at someone during an argument and then pulled a knife on the person.
The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue, deputies reported.
According to authorities, Jameisha Tashay Wallace “threw a piece of chicken in the victim’s face” during a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical altercation. The arrest report does not indicate whether the chicken was raw or cooked.
Wallace then went upstairs to her apartment, grabbed a kitchen knife, and moved it toward the victim’s hand, “making contact,” though it did not result in any cuts, the report states.
Wallace told deputies that she had been “jumped,” but investigators said she was the primary aggressor. She was arrested on an aggravated battery charge, despite the victim expressing no desire to press charges.
As of Friday, Wallace remained in the North Broward Bureau jail facility in Pompano Beach on a $4,000 bond.
