A retired professor was captured on video calling conservatives “Nazis” following the approval of a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter at Fort Lewis College in Colorado.

David Kozak, who previously taught anthropology at the college, was filmed on Nov. 7 reacting angrily after the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College (ASFLC) voted in an emergency session to approve the TPUSA chapter. The decision reversed an earlier rejection of senior Jonah Flynn’s proposal to officially register the group, a move that had sparked significant debate on campus.

In the video, Kozak can be seen flipping off the person filming and shouting, “Nazis! F— the Nazis.” He also addressed the students, saying, “Go on, fascists. Go on, Nazi lovers.”

The TPUSA chapter’s formation has been controversial at the liberal arts school, located in a predominantly left-leaning region that heavily supported Democrat Kamala Harris in the last election.

A Fort Lewis College spokesperson confirmed that Kozak retired in 2022 and is no longer affiliated with the institution. “At Fort Lewis College, we remain committed to fostering an environment grounded in academic excellence, free expression, and civil discourse,” the spokesperson said.

Flynn’s effort to establish the TPUSA chapter prompted a petition from the college community, which argued that the organization “has engaged in actions that directly harm our community.” The petition, launched on Oct. 17, collected more than 400 signatures and emphasized the potential impact on students who are Indigenous, students of color, LGBTQ+, or from other underrepresented backgrounds.

Following the initial denial of the chapter, a counter-petition supporting TPUSA quickly gained traction, gathering over 1,000 signatures. ASFLC ultimately reversed its decision, approving the chapter on Nov. 7.

Kozak did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
