The effort to locate and deport illegal aliens across the United States is intensifying. After millions were allowed into the country under the previous administration, law enforcement agencies are now working around the clock to restore order and secure the southern border.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to lead the charge against illegal immigration, even after years of neglect that left the border wide open. This week, the DPS Mounted Patrol, with assistance from its K9 unit, successfully apprehended a repeat-offender illegal alien on private ranch land in Kinney County.

The incident began when a motion-activated ranch camera alerted authorities to a trespasser. DPS troopers responded swiftly and located Adan Delgado-Ortega, an illegal alien from Mexico who had been deported several times before. Delgado-Ortega has an extensive criminal record, including assault, drug possession, weapons violations, and evading arrest.

Body camera footage from the patrol vehicle captured the arrest, underscoring the dangers officers face while protecting Texas landowners from repeated border incursions.

Texas DPS has also been active in intercepting illegal smuggling operations on highways and rural roads, often engaging in high-speed pursuits that end in arrests and deportations. These ongoing efforts are part of the state’s broader commitment to uphold the rule of law and defend against what many see as an invasion facilitated by previous federal policies.

Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution states:

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

Under President Trump’s leadership, the federal government has renewed its commitment to this constitutional duty. Since he returned to office in January, illegal crossings have fallen to record lows, and the border is once again being secured.

The rule of law is being restored — and Texas is leading by example.
