Harrowing dashcam footage captured a tractor-trailer driven by an illegal immigrant crashing into at least eight vehicles on a California freeway, killing three people.

The video reportedly shows 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh smashing into multiple cars while driving a red big-rig on the westbound 10 Freeway shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to ABC7. The truck barreled into vehicles in a lane, then slammed into the back of a white truck before veering to the right and striking another semi, eventually coming to a stop. Flames appeared to erupt from Singh’s truck after the collisions.

Authorities said three people died in the crash, while four others were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to severe.

Singh, an illegal immigrant from India who entered the U.S. through the southern border in 2022 and was released under President Joe Biden’s administration, was arrested by San Bernardino County authorities on charges including vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence. ICE subsequently issued a detainer for Singh.

“It is a terrible tragedy that three innocent people lost their lives due to reckless open border policies that allowed an illegal alien to be released into the U.S. and drive an 18-wheeler on America’s highways,” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to The Post.

McLaughlin added, “This accident follows a disturbing trend of illegal aliens driving 18-wheelers and semi-trucks on America’s roads.”

Two of the victims have been identified as Clarence Nelson, a former assistant basketball coach at Pomona High, and his wife, Lisa, according to KTLA.

Singh is currently being held in jail without bail.
