Disturbing security footage captured a violent attack inside a San Francisco restaurant, where a woman armed with a large knife repeatedly stabbed the owner as he tried to defend himself with a metal colander.

Azmi Murait asked the woman to leave his Shawarma Azmi restaurant after he suspected she was doing drugs. KTVU

The incident occurred Saturday night at Shawarma Azmi, a family-run restaurant owned by Azmi Murait, a father of three. Murait told KTVU that he had asked the woman to leave after suspecting she was using drugs inside the establishment.

She came after me,” Murait recalled. “I said, ‘I don’t have nothing, just stop.’ The knife was there on the table.” KTVU

The footage showed the woman grabbing a huge blade in the kitchen and repeatedly swinging it at the owner. KTVU
Murait grabbed a metal colander to avoid the knife and escaped with only minor injuries. KTVU

Surveillance video shows the woman shouting before throwing a tip jar at Murait from behind the counter. When he confronted her, the confrontation escalated into the kitchen area. “She came after me,” Murait said. “I told her, ‘I don’t have anything, just stop.’ The knife was there on the table.”
