‘He got lucky we didn’t wake up’: Naked man caught on camera terrorizing Pinellas Park neighborhood

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — Neighbors in a Pinellas Park subdivision say a late‑night disturbance by a naked man left homes and vehicles damaged — and could have ended much worse.

Surveillance footage captured the man walking through yards and exposing himself, then attempting to force entry into several houses. David Dale, who says he awakened when the doorbell rang, described opening his door to find the man “stark naked.”

Authorities identified the suspect as Joshua Garrison. Neighbors told News Channel 8 they watched as he smashed property and rummaged through yards and outbuildings. Dale said Garrison hurled a potted plant through his truck window and tore exterior lights from his house. Video also shows the suspect pulling out a window screen and trying to open the window of another home.

Neighbor Tim Reischmann said Garrison jumped a six‑foot fence using a woodpile, entered his shed, grabbed an ax and returned to the porch — though he did not use the tool. Reischmann also said the man behaved in a sexual manner while in his backyard and helped himself to a beer and a soda.

Several neighbors said they feared for their safety. “We are all Second Amendment people here in Pinellas Park; we will shoot you,” one resident told reporters, adding that Garrison was fortunate no one woke up.

Pinellas Park police arrested Garrison; he now faces charges including burglary, criminal mischief and lewd behavior.
