President Trump Blasts Time Magazine Over “Worst Photo of All Time” on Cover Highlighting His Role in Hostage Release

President Trump sharply criticized Time magazine early Tuesday for what he called the “worst photo of all time” used on its latest cover, which featured a story about what the publication described as “his triumph” in securing the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!

He went on to say that he never liked photos taken from low angles, calling this one “a super bad picture” that “deserves to be called out.”

The president suggested that Time may have intentionally chosen an unflattering photo for the otherwise positive feature highlighting his historic diplomatic breakthrough that led to the release of 20 Israeli hostages.

What are they doing, and why?” President Trump asked.

The magazine’s cover story was published following Monday’s dramatic release of the hostages — the first major breakthrough since Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel. As part of the agreement, Israel released roughly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and returned the remains of about 360 Palestinians, according to officials.

Time’s headline accompanying the cover read simply: “His Triumph.”
