Ahead of President Trump’s address in Israel on Monday to announce the Israeli-Hamas peace plan, the Knesset offered a symbolic gesture to make him feel at home. According to the Times of Israel, lawmakers distributed red MAGA-style hats with a customized slogan reading, “TRUMP THE PEACE PRESIDENT.” Many attendees proudly wore the caps as the president took the stage.

President Trump entered the chamber to a two-minute standing ovation, reflecting the warm welcome from many in attendance. However, not everyone shared the enthusiasm — Sky News reports that two left-wing Knesset members were removed after interrupting the proceedings with heckling.

In another familiar sight, the Times of Israel noted that President Trump signed the official Knesset guest book using his trademark Sharpie. His 13-word message, written across an entire page, read:
“This is my great honor. A great and beautiful day, a new beginning.”
