A Detroit man has pleaded guilty to concealing cryptocurrency donations intended for ISIS, yet Democrats remain conspicuously silent.
Jibreel Pratt, 26, admitted in federal court that he used Bitcoin and privacy tools to secretly send money to what he believed were ISIS operatives. His actions went far beyond financial support—he recorded a video pledging allegiance to the group’s leader, discussed terror tactics, and even drafted plans for drone-based explosives and intelligence gathering.
According to court documents, Pratt began communicating in February 2023 with a confidential source he believed could link him to ISIS fighters. Over the following months, he funneled Bitcoin in March and May to support supposed travelers joining ISIS and to help fund acts of violence. To cover his tracks, he used VPNs and encryption to disguise his transactions.
Federal prosecutors said Pratt’s schemes were calculated and intentional, demonstrating a clear effort to empower a designated terrorist organization.
He now faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Prosecutors are recommending a nine-year sentence. “Pratt meticulously plotted to support ISIS and covertly sent them money to further their evil works,” said U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon.
The FBI emphasized that the case highlights the serious threat posed by individuals inside the United States who align themselves with terrorist groups.
And yet—despite the gravity of this case—Democrats and their media allies have largely ignored it.
Why? Because radical, anti-American ideologies often overlap with parts of their activist and donor networks. The same circles that excuse violent protests, defend Antifa, and attack law enforcement are the ones Democrats rely on for political turnout and campaign funds.
Highlighting a case like Pratt’s would force Democrats to confront uncomfortable truths: that some within their broader base sympathize with America’s enemies and, in certain cases, even attempt to aid them.
We’ve seen this pattern before—Democrats loudly condemn any threat they can tie to Republicans, but stay silent when the danger stems from groups connected to their own supporters.
The fact that individuals attempting to join ISIS have also donated to Democrat campaigns should alarm every American. Instead, it’s ignored because acknowledging it would shatter their preferred narrative.
The Pratt case is a reminder that terrorism is not confined to distant battlefields—it can grow within our own cities. If Democrats truly cared about national security, they would confront extremism wherever it appears.
Until they are willing to hold their own accountable, their silence will continue to embolden those who wish to see America harmed.
