Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a viral video showing a Portland protester being transported on a metal flatbed cart to the 2005 hip-hop hit “Ridin’” by Chamillionaire.
The clip, shared on X Sunday, shows the individual face-down in a hoodie, hands cuffed behind their back, lying on the cart while spitting and gritting their teeth. ICE captioned the video, “Refuse to walk? We’ll give you a ride.” The post has since garnered 8.4 million views and over 113,000 likes, drawing criticism from users who called the agency’s treatment of the arrestee “repulsive.” ICE did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The video comes as President Trump deployed 300 California National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon, on Sunday following anti-ICE protests, defying a federal court order.
“After a federal court blocked his attempt to federalize the Oregon National Guard, Donald Trump is deploying 300 California National Guard personnel into Oregon,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote on X.

Last week, Trump directed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to send “all necessary troops” to Portland and use “full force” to protect ICE from what he called “domestic terrorists.” Oregon quickly sued to block the deployment.
U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, ruled Saturday that sending active-duty troops to Portland would violate the Constitution and federal law prohibiting military involvement in domestic law enforcement. She also noted that the President’s order did not match the situation on the ground at the South Portland immigration facility.
“Overall, the protests were small and uneventful,” the judge wrote. “The President’s determination was simply untethered to the facts.”
Before the ruling, hundreds of protesters had marched near the South Macadam Avenue detention center, clashing with federal agents who responded with tear gas, mace, and pepper spray, local reports said.
