As the war continues to unsettle the region, a series of unexplained aerial incidents across Europe is raising fresh concerns. The latest occurred over Denmark and Norway, where sightings of unidentified drones temporarily shut down operations at major airports.
On Monday night, drone activity near Copenhagen Airport — the busiest in the Nordic region — brought all flights to a halt for nearly four hours. A similar situation unfolded at Oslo Airport in Norway, which suspended all air traffic just after midnight. Both airports have since reopened.
Danish police reported that two or three large drones were spotted near Copenhagen’s airspace. “The police have launched an intensive investigation to determine what kind of drones these are,” said Jakob Hansen, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Copenhagen Police. “The drones have disappeared, and we have not taken any of them.”
Authorities in Denmark and Norway are now working together to explore possible links between the incidents.

According to Avinor, the Norwegian airport operator, Oslo Airport resumed normal operations around 3 a.m. local time after flights were diverted overnight.
Even after reopening, Copenhagen Airport warned of ongoing delays and some cancellations, urging travelers to check with their airlines for updates.
These drone sightings follow a suspected cyberattack just days earlier — on September 19 — that disrupted check-in and boarding systems at London’s Heathrow, as well as at airports in Berlin and Brussels.
As tensions continue to simmer in Europe’s skies, these incidents are being closely watched by security officials across the continent.
