NASHUA, N.H. — One person is dead and several others are injured after a gunman opened fire during a wedding at a country club in Nashua on Saturday evening, authorities said.
The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the Sky Meadow Country Club. According to witnesses, the suspect shouted “Free Palestine!” before firing. Initial reports suggested the possibility of two shooters, prompting police to issue a shelter-in-place order for the surrounding area.

Police later confirmed there was only one shooter, who has since been taken into custody. The suspect’s identity has not been released.
One person suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. At least six others were hospitalized with injuries not caused by gunfire, believed to have occurred during the chaos.
The investigation is ongoing.
