New Jersey driver receives ticket — after running over herself with her own car

A New Jersey woman was issued a ticket for driving an unregistered vehicle after she ran over herself with her own car in a bizarre accident on Monday night, according to local police.
The 61-year-old woman had gotten out of her 2014 Lincoln in Warren County at around 7:30 p.m. without realizing that she never put the car into park, according to police.
She attempted to stop the car as it rolled forward, but she fell and the car ran over the left side of her body, cops said.
The vehicle continued rolling and eventually crashed into a 2016 Ford that was parked along the side of the road where it came to a stop.
The woman suffered “serious” but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Morristown Medical Center, cops said.
She was later issued a summons for driving an unregistered vehicle.
Police did not release the woman’s name.
No one else was injured in the incident.
